History


Originating in the summer of 2004 as the Arts Ballard Festival Choir, we performed at the Shev Shoon Arts Center for the September Ballard Art Walk event, "art'fisk 2004." We so enjoyed singing for the community that we decided to continue and began rehearsing and performing under our new name, The Market Street Singers, in October 2004. We made our debut in November at Homeward Bound, a fundraiser for the Interfaith Hospitality Network, which helps homeless people learn to provide for themselves.

Repertoire


We sing an eclectic variety of choral music, from madrigals to jazz. Each season, we add exciting new material.
